HMX (Octogen- Cyclotetramethylene Tetranitramine)

Description

HMX is a very powerful military explosive with similar properties to RDX. It is very stable and requires a powerful detonator or booster charge to detonate. HMX appears in four modifications, of which only the β-modification displays a particularly high density and hence a particularly higher detonation rate. HMX is the best explosive for penetrator and anti-armor warhead like Tow missile, anti-ship missile, heat resistant explosives, shock tube, etc. It is used as an Oxidizer in solid rocket and Gun propellants. We also offer an ultra-high purity grade of HMX with 99.8% (Min) β-HMX. This grade is primarily used in the manufacturing of perforators for the oil drilling industry.
